Dayton, Springfield, Urbana

Hi! I am Priscilla McNamee and I have been involved in real estate my entire adult life. I am a Clark County Native but currently reside in Champaign County. I raised my family by helping people buy and sell homes. I have loved every minute of it and I owe it all to my clients – so many of whom have become close friends.

As the leader of Team Priscilla, I look forward to helping even more people achieve their real estate goals. I am also the Springfield Area Market Leader for ROOST Real Estate Co. In this role I get to help the next generation of real estate professionals succeed in this wonderful business.

What’s the number one myth that you hear about the Real Estate market that you’d like to clear up?
In the current market, houses are generally selling at or above asking price at a record-breaking speed. This is not common, so if your home takes a little longer to sell, there is nothing wrong with your house. Follow the data and price the home appropriately. A phrase my father shared with me: “Wouldn’t you rather have your home price bid up opposed to bid down?”
5
What is the one thing you would tell someone who is hesitant to list their home out of fear of the market?
In today’s market, I am seeing more and more clients hesitate to list their home “for sale” mostly out of fear of not finding a home to purchase. It might be the most perfect time to sell but there are situations where it is not the most perfect time. Every situation is different. However, I assure you that I will assess pricing, the competition and possible improvements/recommendations then together we will strategize to put a customized plan together for you and your family.

Coffee or Tea?
Usually tea but I like coffee sometimes.
3
Favorite part about helping people find their next home or sell their current home?
My favorite part of helping clients buy or sell is the relationship and friendship that we build while working together through such a tedious process. Whether you are on the buying side, selling side or both, it can be an emotional rollercoaster. It is my number one priority to help my clients during this entire process, ease their minds and teach them more about real estate along the way. Relationships mean more to me than any sale!
6
When you’re not working at ROOST what hobby occupies your time?
Most of my clients, friends and family know that real estate is my life and I have a true passion for it. I am learning to take more time for family and plan to travel more. I love the outdoors, enjoy fishing, and playing with my dogs. Recently, I have been focused on bettering my health, eating clean, working out and purchased a Peloton. I am thinking about taking up golf!

Cats or Dogs?
Both. I have an Olde English Bulldogge, a Beabull (beagle bulldog mix) and my tuxedo cat, Daniel.
